All are welcome, with or without meditation experience.

This course is designed for the seeker looking for new, accessible doors to mindfulness, to understand how to accept your own nature, learn self-acceptance and self-love and make that part of an effective daily practice.
Mindfulness is elusive for many of us.
All the days and hours you have lived already belong to death and the only true meaning life has to offer exists in the present moment; in the relationship we have to our expectations, our shame, our emotions, our passions and weaknesses.
You are not broken, you are simply weighed down by the near unconquerable gravity of a nature you did not choose.

The approach of this course is intended to influence our daily practice and thereby our lives in the following ways:
Week 1: True Gratitude, Playfulness and Transcending – what is my path, what is my practice? This class deals with a starting point for changing your relationship with the Universe and with your life.
Week 2: Being aware of the Canvas; being aware of the Currents – we are inextricably tied to the nature that birthed us, influenced by our culture, childhood and education and subtly affected by our environments and daily diets, in ways which are not always conscious. This class deals with Ego, Dharma and accepting your Nature.
Week 3: Fear is the Veil – fear is not in the way, Fear is the way. This deals with a different way to view adversity, fear, discomfort and the power of Vulnerability.
Week 4: Sometimes the Masculine Way, Sometimes the Feminine Way – Life, even an examined life, cannot be all Yin. And then, even when we try to flow, trying too hard can be the very obstacle we are seeking to overcome. This class is about recognising and acknowledging the masculine and feminine principles in us and how best to embrace and integrate them.

Rocco is a Perth based poet, artist and stoic philosopher whose work and teachings seek to gracefully develop a healthy relationship with self and other. He believes bringing the light of understanding and self acceptance into the darkest landscapes of our inner thoughts does more to lift our gaze from a low horizon, than all the many ways in which we seek respite and try to fill the holes within.
In his classes, you can expect a mix of philosophy, poetry, inner child work and emerging research that is both grounded in psychology and pragmatic science, without compromising on the primacy of interpersonal connection and the subtle yet beautiful mechanics of the human condition.
His courses deliver content around proven wellness methods, as well as unorthodox but practical approaches to mindfulness and daily practice that are especially useful for anyone who has struggled with the more typical forms of mindfulness meditation.
